I knew I was born to write
seems like I was born
with a pen in my hand
just had to get busy living
and not just exist.
Totally remember saying to Pop
on one of those rough patches
wish I wasn't born, he replied
You almost wasn't ...see it was
raining in NYC that day, bad conditions
Cab driver had to avoid an accident
Well I immediately sparked up interest so I could benefit from more details about my birth .
Amazed by my Father's firsthand report and rare account.
Seems like we all live forward and may never get to Overstand.
Like flip it around... look from ups and downs.
So here I was attempting to be connected to my past while anxious to escape my present reality.
I was unhappy, sad ...mood swinging.
What Pop and I shared in that instance was both us time traveling.
See he had also created a window for us both to leave the room...shift to another space in time.
Thanks Pop for being so smooth with the reverse Psychology trip.
Pop had created a means so I took a role in altering my state so we had  sort of a stalemate of some kind.
Here I thought Pop only played checkers
yet he was up on major Chess moves.
